Hi
I have a problem with Premium Music Features not being available (Mood, Plexmix etc) in my music collection, I only have Genre, country and collection in my filter options.
Did a test run before letting Plex loose on my entire music collection (around 2000 artists, 60000 tracks). The test run was fine - got all the premium features. I was able to create playlists on mood selections, all artist and album/track info was retrieved just fine.
Removed the test run, emptied trash, cleaned bundles and optimized the database. Created a new library, making sure it was a premium music library, and set Plex loose on my music.
When done, all arists info, gracenote etc are collected, but no smart mixes :-S
Any suggestions ?
Change your view to Albums or Tracks and Moods will appear in your Filter list. I don’t think Moods applies to artists, because an artist can do so many different things from one album to the next.
Plex Mix is available by clicking the ‘…’ item next to any track (so you must be viewing your library in Track mode as above, or be viewing the details for an individual album).
Caveat: In both cases, the Moods or Plex Mix options will only be available if the track you’re looking at have Mood or Mix information in their metadata. You can see and edit Moods for a track by editing its properties. Plex Mix is based on proprietary information from Gracenote that neither you nor Plex have any control over, so if a track doesn’t have the ‘Play PlexMix’ menu item, it probably means Gracenote didn’t provide the necessary info. I have several examples in my library where, even within one album, some tracks have the Plex Mix option and others don’t.
Nice! Spot on answer.
Nicely done
Thanks
