Button for auto update is greyed out. Tried rebooting OS (Win 10), repair of Plex.
Some people say uninstall existing Plex then do a manual install of later version. Any problems with keeping existing settings and sources? Any other steps I can do? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Did you perhaps tap on “Skip this version” when you were asked about the server update on a client?
You can always update manually on Windows:
- crucial: disable any “registry cleaners”, “uninstallers”, “system optmizers” etc. prior to do the below steps, or you may lose your library!
- Stop/quit/end Plex Server with the tray icon
- deinstall Plex Server with the regular ‘Apps’ control panel of Windows (do not use 3rd party ‘Uninstaller’ software like Revo etc.)
- for safety, reboot Windows
- download the installation exe of the newer version and install it
(If you want to install an older version of PMS, take a look into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server\Updates)

Good call, although my feeble brain does not recall making this selection. The Update button was enabled again this morning. Thanks.
