I have the same issue, I used the Win App Store version on Win 11 (64 bit), since that didn’t work, I tried downloading the PMS from plex.tv, it installed, however now the Plex Server does not work at all anymore, like the app launches, but the server is nowhere to be found. Even after opening the HTML file and it freezing on initializing in the end it failed and can’t do nothing. Pretty serious issue really, I cannot access any of my servers.
UPDATE: OK, so after manually updating the Windows App Store version (via downloading the plex media server from plex.tv - yes the documentation on plex is that a manual update will also force the update on the App Store version) so what fixed it for me was to exit the Plex Media Server via the tray icon and Plex Player via the app, AS WELL AS exiting all tasks associated with Plex in the task manager. Then restart the Plex Media Server and then the Plex App, see proof here:
Hi, doesn’t seem to be the same issue.
I don’t use the App store and don’t have a Player.
All processes stopped, services stopped, and still:

nah, had issues with 64-bit in the past and have been sticking with 32-bit ever since. I can reinstall 1.42.2 without issue but the two released builds of 1.43 both fail on me with the same error. They did warn that they changed things about how the install / upgrade is performed…
What kind of?
In my experience, the 64 bit version runs more smoothly.
That note is regarding how the software is built/compiled. Not how the install process on your machine is done.
It might be that the new 32bit builds don’t work, which was not discovered because the number of users who still use 32 bit is very small.
OK, I’ve installed 64-bit and indeed that works. It apparently kept all my settings from the 32-bit (incl. custom Plex Home folder on separate storage), so it’s looking good. Thanks.
We are encountering the same issue and identical error logs while attempting to upgrade Plex Media Server (x86) on both Windows 10 (32-bit) and Windows 11 (64-bit) from version 1.42.2.10156 to 1.43.0.10492.
Could someone please assist us in resolving this issue?
