Can't use keyboard arrows in TV mode but can in desktop/web mode

Server Version#: 1.22.3.4392
Player Version#: 2.58 (latest, installed today)

Hi Guys, traditional OpenPHT user here on windows 10 HTPC.

Have moved over to using the Plex Media Player, which has a TV mode and the traditional “desktop/web” mode.

When in TV mode, the keyboard up / down arrows have no effect … we are forced to use a mouse. In desktop mode, we can use the up down arrows - just as we can in the dated OpenPHT.

We use up down left right arrows on our Harmony Remote control (FLIRC receiver on the HTPC) … so all theatre control and navigation is via the harmony remote as it has been for years in openPHT.

Is there a way to turn on the keyboard functionality in TV mode of Plex Media Player? Seems crazy that it doesn’t work.

Cheers

Plex Media Player is no longer being updated. When Plex began updating the underlying libraries they split the functionality into two applications.

Windowed/Mouse controld = Plex for Mac/Windows: https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-desktop/1.31.0.2254-43df1e6e/windows/Plex-1.31.0.2254-43df1e6e-x86_64.exe

Keyboard/Remote = Plex HTPC (not yet on front page download) : https://downloads.plex.tv/htpc/1.1.0.2156-96d995e9/windows/PlexHTPC-1.1.0.2156-96d995e9-x86_64.exe
More info here :Plex HTPC and would be I would focus all your suggestions.

Thanks ill give it a crack, looks good from quick test - albeit a white screen on video playback for some raeson

mate this app kicks ass and fixes several of the issues I have posted about. Subtitle search works, the UI doesn’t look like its from a Senior’s Home (no offence to Seniors), video preview thumbnails work well

Just need to test that the DTS-HD MA and True-HD pass thru correctly and I’m laughin’
