Hi all, hoping someone can help me here.
A few days ago, I had everything on my Plex working fine, but when I powered the pc on yesterday, I couldn’t view my shared files through the pc app, but they are showing up on my phone & Xbox one, using the Plex apps. When I try to access ‘Your Media’, I get a message saying that I need to have the Plex Media server. I’ve already installed it though, & it is running. Also, when on the downloads page, for the media server, on the Plexamp tab, it is also showing that the media server is not installed. This is all on the browser version of the app.
I’ve also tried the separate Windows app (I.e. non-browser), but get the same message about the media server not being installed, but going to the downloads for this version, takes me to the Microsoft store, which says the media server is installed. Also, I had previously connected my Plex to my smart TV, which appears to connect & shows thumbnails, but when I try to view anything, I get a message saying that I cannot access the server.
& finally, I have tried to install Plex app to my Synology DS220J NAS, but kept getting an error saying that the application does not have access to this server.
Any suggestions? I know that I can still view these files through the xbox & phone, but several of them are showing incorrect information, so I want to correct these errors via the pc.
