Can't watch Live TV anymore

Everything worked fine until the last update. Now I can’t watch any live TV.

I keep getting an error - The Live TV session has ended or An error has occurred try to play … and then in the activity area it shows it is recorded a Live TV session.

Any help please?

Would need server logs and logs from whichever player you are using to look into it.

The only way I can make the Live TV work is by going into Task Manager and stopping any and all programs that have the word PLEX in them.

I tried a session and it failed, twice. I then opened task manager and closed out all Plex programs. Them reloaded the program and it worked.

Very frustrating!! Do you need any other information that I didn’t provide?

All plex clients have the same issue - No Live TV or DVR
Issue started after last server update

To try and resolve, I deleted plex DVR. Reinstalled DVR - Home Run Tuner with no problems. Tediously selected my preferred channels. Downloaded Program Guide.

When going to ‘Live TV’, program guide is not populated. Channels do not display. Old DVR programs set to record are still intact.

At various times, I have seen ALL the symptons described in this thread and similar threads

  • including ‘Cannot tune channel’ ‘Multiple DVR activities displaying as active but not functioning’ etc

Follow-up on my post. Confirmed initial issue. Multiple recordings were missed and Plex could not access HD HR Prime Tuner after update. (BTW, tuner was accessible directly thru Windows).

After deleting Plex DVR and reinstalling, I looked at ‘Live TV’ and saw no program guide and could not tune any channels. Woke up this morning to find that a scheduled recording had, in fact, recorded!! Further digging and discovered that Plex defaults to ‘Favorites’ in Live TV but the Favorites list was invalid with the re-installed DVR (even though no tuner, provider, or channels changed). When I switched to the ‘Server’ tab, all channels were there. Apparently ‘Favorites’ are locked to the specific instance of the Plex DVR.

So, I’m good to go but feel like a Beta tester after over a decade on Plexpass. Oh well, if you have this issue I hope my experience will help.

I had a working setup until 1.40.2.8395 and have been broken for almost 2 months. I can see in the Dashboard the show start to stream, but then get an error in the web player.

My setup: HDHomeRun Connect using an Antenna
Player: Web
Windows 10

Here is a set of logs. The last thing I did before capturing the logs was try to start a show on Live TV.
