Listing this under “Plex Media Server” because all clients and all versions are broken with Live TV streaming (but DVR works), so I’m thinking it’s probably server side.
Server Version#: 1.19.5.3112 (currently, but downgraded from 1.21+ when the issue started)
Server OS: Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS, Kernel 5.4.0-54-generic x86_64
Player Version#: Any and all. Have tried multiple versions of Plex Media Player on Linux (knapsu’s version), Plex Media Player on Windows, new Plex for Windows app, Plex for Android, Plex web. All fail on all channels (but DVR recording is still working).
I’m stumped, at some point awhile back (wish I could pinpoint it better) all Live TV streaming broke for all clients and all versions. But DVR recording is still working just fine. Any attempt to play a channel on any app just hangs for awhile and eventually says “unable to tune channel” or similar, but scheduling a DVR recording still adds the recording to the appropriate library.
What I’ve tried so far, I had read that awhile back some people were having problems with Live TV and server versions greater than 1.20, so I down graded to 1.19.5.3112. But that didn’t resolve the issue for me. Other things I’ve tried so far; deleting and re-adding the DVR, rescanning for channels from the server, Plex for Android versions all the way back to 6.15, Plex Media Player versions back to 2.45. None of this made a difference. I’m using an HDHomerun Prime 3-tuner model running firmware 20200907. All channels work just fine from the HDHomeRun app.
I realize this isn’t probably enough info to help troubleshoot. First things first, what more do I need to upload? And, thanks in advance for your help.
