Caption PROBLEM for TV Shows DVR playback for Linux Player (STILL BROKEN!)

(I am reopening this again and again until you FIX IT!)

The following problem still exists on Linux Player Version 1.62.2.3451-fb8ac0ae. It was originally reported on 1.45.0.3017-e5c724f3 and subsequent releases.

This is frustrating for my hearing impaired wife on disability! We have default captions ON for playback. When playing a DVR recording in TV Shows, the player comes up saying captioning is ON (the default), but it doesn’t show any captions until we go to Settings and turn captions OFF and ON again (toggle state)…every time we start or restart a recording. :angry:

Kindly fix in the next release. No one has ever contacted me about this…ever. Someone else reported captions were on when default was off. It sure seems like the state of this switch is out of sync and should be easy to FIX,

I think maybe Plex Player 1.64.2.3546 (in my case on Linux) has resolved the captioning issue described above—or perhaps in combination with PMS 1.31.0. I will mark this as solution as long as it holds. Thanks!!
