Captions always default to ON, Are incorrect

Everytime a live TV stream is started for a non admin user, captions are on and often incorrect. I cannot seem to make them off by default

Is that right? That’s almost 2 years old.

For your actual issue, that sounds like something is incorrectly set in the subtitle settings for that user. Check their account settings.

That’s what it said in the TV app, but now that I check the server directly it says 1.42.2.10156

There does not appear to be a setting that switches this off. Additionally, all users aside from admin experience issues with audio being out of sync and plex dropping live tv video entirely due to “poor connection” despite Live TV working fine through the Admin profile and through the HDHomeRun app

This happens on my Nvidia shield android tv player too. So annoying to have to manually turn off caption subtitles every time you play a live tv channel.
