Plex is no Cineast anymore. There was a Cast & Crew Section to every Movie. Now it doesn‘t know Cast & Crew of most of my Films on my Server anymore. And also: If I want to search for the Movies of a special director, I type the Name, it shows me the director, but when I click on him nothing happens. Please bring back the old Plex. I don‘t need a cheap Version of Netflix. Without that Feature I can as well use the ordinary „mycloudapp“

Which exact version of the app do you have installed on your system?
Also, what agent have you configured on the library? Does the Cast & Crew hub show up on other clients for the movies where it’s missing in the new experience app?
I’m not the original poster but I can tell you on my iOS app that my cast & crew shows up for things in my libraries but not for things in a friend’s libraries that he shares with me (though they do appear if I go into his libraries through Plex in the browser), so it’s definitely some issue with the App. I was going to say that it might be a blanket thing where that’s just how it’s going to be in the App and then saw a series that he added recently for me and that shows the cast & crew. I signed out of my browser and signed out and back into the iOS app to see if that had me showing more cast & crew info for his libraries, but it didn’t.
Ask that friend which metadata agent their libraries use.
Plex Series and tvdb for tv, and Plex Movies with tmdb for movies.
This is a mixture of new and old. Unfortunately that is not going to give us any insight.
Please ask again what exactly is shown as Scanner and Agent on the Advanced tab of the library properties.
For TV Shows he has “Plex TV Series” for the scanner and “Plex Series” for the agent. For Movies, “Plex Movie” is both the scanner and agent. I have the exact same choices on my end.

I’m having the same issue.
Search Cast Member using Android version 2025.15.0 (966828394
Sometimes search can find a cast member other times it finds nothing - even though they are doing on the Browser or via my Roku.
But even if it finds the cast member, when I select them or select the library in which they were found, the ‘result’ just opens my main library page - whichever one was open.
This happens primarily for cast members in my Video library – where cast members aren’t found, but also frequently occurs with cast members using the Plex TV or Movie agents as well.
Either way, it never displays what videos they are in - 
This applies to the following Library Agents (all of the ones I use)
Plex Series Agent
Plex Movie Agent
Plex Music Agent
Plex Movie Scanner

Cast search will not work when you still use the old, deprecated meta data agents.
I was in the Beta for the new Experience and this function was still working properly - in pretty sure of it.
Also, will search for depreciated agents return? I understand it’s depreciated and no longer supported, but you have thousands? of users who rely on these agents and have substantial investment in time and money to get them working and organized as good as Plex’s new agents.
If Plex drops all support for depreciated agents, which were foundational in Plex’s use and function, how are users supposed to believe you will not do this with future agents – if developers even create a community to develope new agents?
Same here. All C&C information is available when using Plex through the web but only visible for Movies and TV Shows on my iPad and iPhone. C&C is available on my AppleTV so this is definitely a problem with the app as all information is available.
