Cast info issues

While playing media you can’t get to cast information at all.

If you aren’t playing media and you scroll down to the cast members of a TV Show you are taken to a listing of the TV shows they are in. Which is very confusing cause it took me a couple times to realize it was filtered at all. I was expecting a page about the actor but instead just get a filtered list of TV shows in my library. What else are they in? I actually want to discover new content not just content I already have.

If you are looking at a movie page (prior to hitting play) there is no cast listing anymore. Just related Movies and Movirs with the lead actor. Again I want to see the cast I want to dive into movies, tv shows those cast members are in. I want to see a small amount of content about that actor, their age, birthplace, etc..

In the old app I looked up cast information ALL THE TIME. That’s a big part of using plex, it’s a one stop shop for everything about a movie or show and it’s severely hampered now.

This is looking a little better in 2025.18.0. There is now an Actor page when you tap an actor from a TV show.

Movies still don’t show the actors though and so you can’t tap an actor and get to the actor page.

I’m hoping that will be an addition later.

For me I found a restart resolved my issue of missing Cast & Crew

Well with restarts of the device (iPhone) and the app, I still only see Cast and Creww in TV Shows and not movies.
