Getting Plex hooked up with something like HDHomeRun Prime would take Plex to new heights.
Enhanced ChromeCast support - have the ability to queue up content being streamed, similar to the features in the CC YouTube app.
Unified Search - similar to Roku, ability to search across media sources for content. Eg search for movie xx locally on traditional Plex libraries or across Netflix, Amazon or Hulu.
I'm sure this has been covered but I'm still fairly new so can you add the ability to watch trailers of the movies? My collection has gotten so large that its hard to always know which movie is which. Also I have friends who like to browse my collection to watch movies. Sometime the synopsis sounds great but if there was an option to view the trailer you can have a better feeling of whether you are in the mood to watch that movie.
Amazon Prime is coming out with their own chromecast support, which I would suspect would move PVR support into the #1 requested spot since a lot of folks will just the Amazon app that with CC and dont need it in PMS . Are there any plans to support PVRs in the nearish future? it would be AWESOME to setup recordings and chromecast live TV from a mobile. Certainly it would be unique in the industry, and likely another major pass sub net like chromecast was.
Sort of a side note, as you can cast from plex android to pht, would it be possible to create a situation where you can cast from ANY cast-enabled app to pht? ie have PHT show up on the youtube app cast target list. If thats possible, then any app which gains chromecast functionality would be accessible to all PHT customers, not just the ones using chromecast. You then wouldnt have to 're-create' channels for services (like amazon prime or hulu) which do or will have a castable app as theres no portion of users unable to take part in the app version. (you get same features while having a lower support load)
Now, if the UK and AU plugins included a rudimentary VPN that allowed me to view their content, then I'd be ALL over them!
If not, then Amazon VOD would be kind of nice, although every one of my clients has both a Netflix and Amazon VOD client built in, so.....
If you SERIOUSLY want to add some really useful functionality to ANY of the current, or future plugins, that would be a Watch It Later option with multithread downloading. That would make me VERY happy indeed.
I don't think that one plugin is more important then another but i do think that you HAVE to make plugins better-For example-Loading subtitles to any video like in XBMC. So finally powerful addons will be able to be done for PMS (like in XBMC)
I'd really love PVR support... I have a TiVo, and I only want one box. I keep wondering what will come first... a Plex app on TiVo or some way to use my cablecard w/ Plex - I hope it's the latter!
I would like to add parental controls in the form of a maximum viewing level without a passcode. I have a number of young children and there is nothing I can see that will restrict access to mature content whilst still enabling minors the freedom to browse other age appropriate content.

I would like any way to access live tv. I’m trying to build and integrate my own whole home dvr system, but it’s not worth the investment if I cannot watch live tv with it, and the plex interface and device support is great. I have a test myth tv box with a single tuner set up for testing but hope to buy a multiple tuner once support is available, so which brand or model I am flexible, but would hope if it’s not stand alone device it works with Linux.
i do not care about any plugin unless playlists do not work as expected. Stop wasting time on plugin development and take care about the serious stuff ;)
