Cert network method broke?

On OSX I have tried the cert network method and it says unable to add profile and I noticed it with another user also via teamviewer on win8. Is it broke with the latest commit? It worked prior perfectly.

I’m on atv2 ios 5.3. The other user had a atv3 ios 6.0.2. When it tried to access it, it would say unable to access cert in /assets/certificates in the plexconnect.log.

Edit: Looks fine over here - didn't try from the aTV, though (it's in use...).

Try

curl /trailers.cer -A AppleTV

from a terminal window.

Does it return the cert?

tarilers.cer is in assets/certificates.

...looks like a cert to me. Though mine has a "nicer format".

(no worries, I changed some random characters in a very random way. additionally that would be only the public key, right? :-)

I just changed over to trailers certs instead of iCloud certs with this test machine and this is what it says on the aTV. Latest commit of plexconnect. Not sure if it made a difference.


Unable to add profile.

And error occurred while adding the profile [109]. Check the URL and try again.


Can you load any of the certs using the network method since they are all still labeled trailers.cer after they are generated?

Update- I restarted plexconnect and it added the trailers profile. I’m going to try the dedicated machine instead of the test machine and see if it works also.

Well, the name for sure depends on your generation process. In my opinion they should NOT have the same name...

Yeah you are better naming them something like this:


trailers.cer

iMovie.cer

Wsj.cer

I restarted my dedicated plexconnect host then I was able to add the iCloud cert like this. I’m not sure why it wasn’t working before but now it is :smiley:
