I am having an issue recently whereby certain files are unable to play on certain devices. A particular sports file for example can play on my Android/Samsung TV, but not Windows laptop or Android phone. The Windows laptop doesn’t give an error message, but the Android phone says:
“Error: An error occurred while attempting to pay this video. Please check your connection and try again”.
The files are stored in the same actual folder as other videos that play fine. They are the same format and have the same permissions. The files with issues tend to be bigger than about 7GB.
The errors are the same both locally and remotely.
Any ideas please? Is really infuriating.
The lines in the logs that shows the error (with my very basic understanding) contain the following text:
Failed to stream media, client probably disconnected after 17039360 bytes: 104 - Connection reset by peer
These are apps/devices that do and have streamed almost identical files.
