Issues trying to watch

hello everyone, is anyone having issues trying to access your Plex library, I’m using a Firestick and it’s not working, I’m also using a phone and same problem, it says: An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again.
But when I used my laptop, it works without any issues.
I have not made any changes, last night it was working without problems.

Thanks

Entire media server just went south for no reason.

I noticed that a library backup started, the player lost connection to the library and then when I tried to open the server it just sets there loading constantly. When I try to reload the player library it says there is media available even thought it does see my account. Whole thing has become useless. Exit the server and now when I try to start the server back up, nothing, doesn’t even show up in the task bar. WOW!

wow guys im trying to fix this for over 2 weeks now , everything worked fine, no issues then one day i try to watch on my android stick it says error connection?

i mailed western digital its another NAS btw
but they dont help me to provide some update

i cant fix this they let us wait i cant watch movies anymore

what can we do? about this plex hellooo

i was starting to think we need a plex pass now to pay to stream local hmm

please plex help us its no fun

to provide an update, I followed this youtube video and it work.
I’m not sure if this setting was disable before and for a reason I don’t understand it change to Enable and start blocking the devices I had connected to the server.

I’m also having the same issue. but it does not affect all media files.

running PMS 1.24.1.4931 on windows and it affects any player running android (2 TVS, 1 TV box, 2 phones).

Any ideas what it could be? got the logs right here.

I believe this might help you,

Additional Solutions

  • Go to Settings , select Advanced and turn off the new player. Reverting to the original player worked for many users.
  • Go to Account settings, Advanced, and disable H264 maximum level . This solution also allows you to keep the default player.
  • Try turning the subtitles off and play the problematic video again.

unfortunately no luck, and plex removed the old player completely now, so can’t even try that any more :frowning:

i tried this not working it still says connection error
