I just added my Friends collection to Plex and all ten seasons are named with the exact same convention and are in one folder separated by season into subfolders. Plex recognized seven of the seasons just fine, but seasons four and five it has listed separately as Friends seasons and season 3 it has listed as an entirely different show. Suggestions?
Sadly means nothing if that convention is wrong.
This is often caused by the folder structure being wrong.
Please give an example of your naming and folder structure.
Images/screen shots are better, however it should be easy enough to see an issue if you just show the paths as text.
Your shows should be in a master “TV Show” folder. Plex should point to that folder and not individual shows.
Ok, I do not have a master TV shows folder. In the past, I’ve just pointed to a main folder for each show within my folder full of movies and TV shows. I’ll give that a shot. If it doesn’t work, I’ll post screenshots of naming convention.

Cool. So now you have actually less to maintain.
Anything added inside that master TV Show will automatically be picked up by Plex.
