Change account email doesn't work

Hello plex forum,

I have had a problem for a while that I can’t resolve.

My Plex account has always been linked with my Charter account, but in the meantime I changed internet provider and they dropped my Charter account. I went with my Gmail account and now cannot change the connection via this method because the old address (Charter) is still activated there …

I also can’t link with Gmail or my Icloud account in plex.tv

Could someone help me?

You do not need access to the Charter e-mail account to change the e-mail address associated with your Plex account.

You do need to know the Plex account password.

Go to Account Settings, enter the desired e-mail address, and the Plex account password.

You will receive an e-mail at the new address asking you to verify the change.

Once verified, you can login to your Plex account using the new e-mail address. Use “Continue with Email,” not Continue with Google/Apple/Facebook.

If the process does not work for some reason, contact the Plex Billing department. Link at the bottom of this web page.

I tried to changed the password and it shows its invalid. This has not been changed since a couple of years ago.?

Just to. note that I have lifetime access to Plex.

You must know your current password to change it or to change the e-mail address associated with your Plex account.
