I changed my location for my libraries and it went ok but I was quite disappointed it now has to scan through my whole library (1453 shows) and go through each episode of each show and process them again. going for 24 hours now, seems to be just halfway done. A shame it isn’t just a one click, change path, save, done. Maybe for the future, that could be looked into.
It sounds like you missed some steps from the guide on how to move media to a new location. Plex doesn’t lose that information or require a library rebuild if you follow it.

It looks like it is not actaully rebuilding, but since evertyihng shows as “unavailable” and the scan is not creating new items, it is just doing the “Downloading metadata” and then “Finished processing” for everything, so each items is realyl quick, but there are just so many.
