Changed Password on Plex, and now it says I no longer have access to my media on the plex server

Server Version#: Current Release - Linux
Player Version#: ANY device

I’ve tried everything here: Why am I locked out of Server Settings and how do I get in? | Plex Support

Logged out of Plex
Stopped the Media Server
Updated the Preferences.xml file as indicated by removing those items
Started the Media Server
Logged into the local instance server:32400/web
Results are the same.

I kinda wish I hadn’t changed my password

Any ideas? Thank you!

Oct 29, 2019 17:16:31.619 [0x7f8c33fff700] DEBUG - Request came in with unrecognized domain / IP ‘server.domain’ in header Host; treating as non-local

Figured it out from the log entry above…

For anyone else running into this issue, I couldn’t access it via my local DNS name… when I did via IP address, I was able to get into the server again and “CLAIM” it as my own.

Cheers!

To augment, If you add your local domain to PMS, then this will make it known and no longer be an issue. Usually a moot point because it’s not usually a problem until after getting locked out.
