Changes to PMS and PMP Maintenance capabilities for all libraries

Hello:

1st off apologies if this has been requested.

Would it be possible to add greater functionality to any library type which would allow us to select multiple entries and be able to mark them as unwatched or not listened to?

Currently in the TV Shows library I can not mark an entire show as unwatched, I must go through each and every episode to mark them.

Very time consuming and it would be nice if you could do that across all libraries and players.

Thank You

You can! Hope the screenshot below helps you

Sorry, but in the Windows version of PMP and PMS (both latest updates) I can not do what you show. 1st off I can select multiple entries in “Grid View” only. In “List” or “Summary” view this option is not available. 2nd when in “Grid” view I do not have access to the shortcut menu options like you show. I only have access to the series menu (upper right) which includes the options - “Play Next” - “Add to Queue” - “Refresh Metadata” - “Analyze” - “Optimize” - and “Delete”. No other options appear.

Perhaps your menu items are unique to the QNAP version of Plex and not available in the Windows version?

If so that’s another problem or feature I would want - the touch and feel capabilities of Plex should be the same across all supported platforms.

Interesting about the Windows version being different. Maybe someone will pitch in and be of more help. That said, is it still different via plex.tv and launching PMS in your browser?

Thanks for the quick responses. As to your question on Windows versions of PMP and opening using the web browser (playing through PMS) the same (for the lack of a better term) “problem” exists.

I do not use the Plex app on my Samsung TV because it’s overall operations are just to slow. Once you start a video, picture show or music playing it is fine but getting to that point is painful.

I mostly use a laptop with Windows 7 or an iPad IOS 11.0.3 either with Chrome-cast (Google-cast) ver. 1 or Ultra to control what is played on the TV

As for the iPad which I use the most we have a whole different animal visually and operationally.

I am not enough of a cross platform developer to pass judgement but I have done some and have always expected the look and feel of an application to be the same across any platform.

Just so you know I am not a Plex basher to the contrary I have tested other competitor products and consider Plex to be the best for what I require it to be especially when you consider the cost.
