Changing email associated

Hi,
I am changing ISP and my current email is with them.
When trying to change it for my @gmail.com account, it just wont let me, normal?
I feel like maybe it’s because signing in as Google/Gmail is an option, then you cant use @gmail.com on an existing “email based” account?
Even if this is the case, i dont want to lose all my configurations, is there a way to “switch or merge” my account for my @gmail.com email?

I don’t know why you can’t change it but it’s fine to use a regular gmail and sign in here

If that “saves/keeps” my settings/configuration, amazing!
