When PLEX first did a scan of my drives that I assigned to it, it put everything in the “movies” library. Now, I’d like to move some of that content into other “libraries”, such as “Home Movies”, or “TV Shows”, or even make my own customized Library folder. However - there doesn’t seem to be an easy way to move this content from one library to another. PLEASE NOTE: I do NOT want to move the actual content from the folders it resides in on my drive, just the way it shows up in PLEX. This is the most simple aspect of file cataloging and I can’t believe someone built PLEX without any consideration of this aspect at all. Other than this, I LOVE PLEX, but this is really becoming an issue for me! Any guidance would be appreciated!
There is no way around moving the files on disk, at least into separate sub-folders.
A folder can only be assigned to one library, thus files in that folder will only ever appear in one Plex library.
Besides, Plex requires a completely different naming schema for tv shows vs. movies, so keeping them together is not possible at all.
