The PC I was using for the media server crashed. I now have all files on a new media server. When I bring the app up on my TV it is still pointing to the crashed media server. How do I change the media server? I have been plying with this for days with no good result
All current apps should have a „More“ section in their main navigation / sidebar where you can pin/unpin the listed libraries.
I may not have been clear on my problem. The new files and libraries are fine. I just cannot fine the area where I insert the new the Media Server, My TV keeps pointing to the crashed media server. How do I delete that one and insert the new one?
I have created new libraries on my new media server, I just cannot find where I delete the old media server and direct the TV to the new one I created
You should be able to to unpin the libraries of the old server. Clients aren’t linked to a server but list the servers/libraries linked to your account.
You can remove the association of your old server in the account settings (although an inactive server should also be removed from clients after some time)

Thanks for the info on account settings. I deleted the old media server. Now how do I add the new one? I don’t see a place to add the new media server in my account settings
Have you already installed the Plex Media Server on the new PC and finished the setup (incl. linking the new server to your account)?
You cannot „create“ a new server from within a Plex client/player app…
I have installed the media server on the new PC. The new server is listed In the authorized devices, the old server is gone. I cannot get the TV to recognize the new server, it still shows the old server (with a triangle) and not the new one. How do I get the TV to list the new server and use it as the media library?
I assume the client app is signed into the same Plex account as your server?
Is the new server listed in the more section?
On what app are you missing the new server? Is this the same on different Plex clients or just on that client?
I have now setup a new managed account which lists the new server in the authorized devices. On the TV I also included the new managed account. When I enter that account it lists the on-line shows but does not have a “more” link on the sidebar. How do I get the more link on the sidebar that should then give me the new server?
If I open the PLex app on my PC, everything is working fine. I have the new server listed and I have a “more” link on the sidebar. What do I need to get the same on my TV?
Last time I did this I just reinstalled the app on the TV.
You should be able to link the correct account when you go to sign back in

Did you connect the new server to your old plex.tv account or did you create a new account for the new server?
The latter would be wrong.
OK here’s the situation now. I have not changed my login, I have added another user. On my PC I can get into plex and everything is fine for both users, the new server is there and the files I attached to libraries are there. I move to a TV and this is what I see
Front TV
Original user - Add you media to Plex
“Go to https://plex.tv/download”
New user - No more in Sidebar all I have Watchlist, Live TV,etc.
2nd TV
Original User - Have a “more” link in sidebar
Gives me Sign in to access media server (Signed in multiple times with no change to message}
New user - No more in Sidebar all I have Watchlist, Live TV,etc.
I have downloaded the Plex media server at least a dozen times. What do I need to do to get my TVs to see the same things my PC is seeing?
What does that mean?
in cases 1) and 2) did you grant this user access to your libraries?
What I created was another user profile, it is the icons displayed on the initial screen and they were granted user access to my libraries. I feel I need to make modifications in another program besides the Plex media server
I think my problem is the new server is not shown in the Plex Web Server but I cannot add it to the Web Server. It shows the old server (which I deleted) and various other items. How do I add my new server to the Plex Web app

Make sure to finish the setup of s new server by locally accessing the bundled web app of the new server.

I think that is the only thing I have not modified. On my PC everything works perfect. I can see a “more” link in the sidebar. When I access it, the new server is there, the libraries I established are there and when I click an item, it plays on my computer. When I go to a TV, I don’t see a “more” link in the sidebar.
