I'm seeing this, too. It looks like it might be related to whether the aTV runs with the myPlex account of the server.
Yes, thats what happens… I can browse for channels on my iOS app and on my PMS, but for some reason i cant on my aTV, so to check em out i gotta add em on either iOS or PMS and then they appear on aTV :o
I don’t think the channels directory is supported is it Baa?
If not then it is by design and development effort is currently better expended elsewhere as if is easy to add channels via PlexWeb (something that should not be needed to be done often).
There is no Channel Directory in Plexconnect, and there never has been. And yes, the easiest way to load them is via the Plex web interface. Most people tend to settle on a certain selection of channels and then just leave them be, so I agree with f00b4r that the ability to load and unload via the TV is not really that crucial.
Channels Tab? Channel List? Channel Directory? What are we talking about?
It now appears confirmed that it is the Channel Directory that the OP was referring to. Not the Channel tab or Channel list within the Channel tab.
But the channel list i see on Web interface, shouldnt i see it on the aTV also?
On Plexconnect, under the Channels tab, you will see a list of channels that you have already installed to the Plex Media Server using the Plex Web Media Manager or other non-Plexconnect clients. If you haven’t installed them in this way you will not see them on Plexconnect.
Alright, that was my question… Which ports should i open to have it working 100%? Sometimes seem like i lose connection…
