For some reason the HD channel guide (793) no longer matches what is currently on TV. The SD channel (186) is still correct. I attempted to setup the tuner to record 793 but use 186 as the guide channel. Clicking OK does nothing. It won’t save. Changing to another guide channel like 180 works fine. Clicking OK will save the changes. Putting back to the correct channel 186 refuses to save.
So not only is the guide wrong, I can’t redirect the channel to use the correct guide. I’m stuck. Any idea what to do?
I deleted the tuners and added only one back. Did a full channel scan. Channel 186 is not selected on the other side of that scan. I can’t add it, either.
I cleaned the bundles and then attempted to set the channel. You’ll see Clean Bundles in the log and then my attempts to set the channel. There are no errors.
You can use each EPG channel only once in your lineup.
Which means if you have a HD and a SD channel carrying the same program, you’ll need to disable one of them.
I propose you disable the SD version(s) and leave only the HD activated.
Turns out this is the answer. Thank you! I wish that Plex gave you some sort of indication or error when trying to activate the channel.
It wasn’t a second HD channel of the same name. It turns out that for some reason Comcast has 2 SD Hallmark channels in the lineup. I was trying to use the second copy, but the first one was active already.
