Hi!
Im living in Sweden and have Comhem as a cable provider. They have now open up more digital channels without DRM protection. But I cant watch them on plex. For some reason Plex is listing them protected even after a new channelsearch. They are not protected. How can we fix this?
Server Version#: 1.18.7.2457
Player Version#:
Tuner Make/Model: Hauppauge dualHD
Guide/Lineup name: Comhem Sweden Digital
Using XMLTV?: No
Channel number/Name: 5 (Kanal 5), 7 (Sjuan), 9 (Kanal 9), 11 (Kanal 11).
Do you have any software besides Plex that you can test this with? Can you tune the channels and watch them with VLC or with Hauppauge viewing software?
I have a channel that is incorrectly marked DRM here in the USA, but my tuner software shows the DRM flag is still set by the cable company. So I know the problem is not Plex.
Thank you for answering. I have now tried with another application (Kaffeine) on linux. When i did the channelsearch in the app it didn’t find all channels. But when I added them manually they do work! Can they only be “flagged” DRM but with no protection?
Edit: @DrSmith already answered that could be the case. But is there any way to add the nonprotected DRM-flagged channels? They are clearly working.
Hello Henrik! If you have comhem as cableprovider do a new channelsearch. I tested it today and got more channels. If it is Plex or comhem who fixed the problem… i dont know.
