Hi there. Just signed up for plex pass to use plex on my PS4. Unfortunately the channels do not work. When I select channels from the menu the whole app freezes and I have to close it the the options menu. Any ideas? Cheers!
BTW: I am on the latest PS4 System and PlexApp
Do the channels play when you play it from the browser or home media center?
yes they do. In browser and media center. But I do not see the channels on PS4. When I click the channels button I get like a loading screen and nothing happens anymore. The app is frozen afterwards.
Having the same problem and would love it fixed. I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled the app, bounced ps4, bounced my MacBook Air (where Plex server is running) and made sure Plex server is updated to the most recent version. I use the giantbomb app all the time and really want my channel functionality restored. For the time being, I’ve gone back to the web interface on my PS4, which works but isn’t as good an experience. Oh, and for the original poster, channels were working fine for me so this is a recent problem.
Sorry you guys are having issues. We’re investigating this internally, but don’t have any specifics to share currently. Rest assured that we definitely want channels to work properly on the PlayStation.
The team was able to identify the issue and we hope to have a resolution available soon. (But, sorry, no specific ETA to offer.)

Fixed and pushed. Thanks a million for the report. It was a bug which only manifested in certain situations and was harmful to all of our smart TV/PS/PMP devices. Good report!

yep, that happens to me as well. App gets stuck after media ends. You have to close it by using the option button.

Channels aren’t working for me either (PS4) although my installed music does.
I’m trying to use the likes of G2G but they just won’t play and after a short time I get something like “this video did not start in the required time”.
Frustrating. I was hoping plex on PS4 would help me get rid of my Roku box and save me a plug socket!
Channels work for me on PS4 and music seems to be playing correctly again. Thanks.

I just got the plex premium pass for my new PS4. I installed plex on my laptop and ps4. Ps4 wont play any videos from G2G.fm while the same can be played flawlessly on laptop. Can you please help on how I can get this to work.
I have a similar thing with ZDF channel ( German broadcaster). Won’t play on PS4 but also MacMini. Only iPhone Plex will actually play that channel. I unsubscribed Plex Pass cause of that.
My channels actually refuse to run on my PS4. It shows that it’s trying to work for a couple of minutes, then says there was a problem loading this item, however, I can play them fine on Plex on my PC. Any idea why this would be happening? I’ve got the latest update for plex media server…
