Howdy. ChapterDB has been acting funny for a week or so now. If you start typing a title, it sometimes stops after the first letter, sometimes not. If you type out the title that causes the page to not find it, and hit refresh, it gives a 404 error. If you find the title and click on it, sometimes it gives a 502 CloudFare error. Thank you.
I guess no one cares?
I doubt that no-one cares… I’ve been browsing for titles from my library and cannot reproduce this behavior… I gave up after 20 items.
Do you experience the same if you’re searching through a different browser or from a different device (e.g. your mobile while not connected to your home network)?
Tried at work, same result. Try searching right now for “made of honor.” The search does literally nothing, hit refresh while the searched term is up in the URL and you’ll get a 404. Click on all the results of something that’s actually found. 404.
Just tried on my mobile network. Same result. All day I was searching for “leap year” and it wasn’t working. Tried about an hour ago and it randomly worked. On to the next movie, no worky…
Now of “made of honor” works. On to the next one, “poison ivy” doesn’t work.
Interesting… poison ivy is the first search where the form/search gets stuck.
Same for reloading a search result based on the full URL (though not sure that’s a big issue given I’ll already have the search result by then).
Keep in mind Plex is only hosting this platform as-is
There is something broken on the server at the moment. Normally, if there is no result for something, it just doesn’t show a result. Heck, even clicking “home” up top earlier resulted in a 404.
Yes sir site is indeed messed up. I made that reddit post and at least two other people (the only two people who responded) besides @ramicio reported to have been able to reproduce the issues, so now that’s 5 out of 5 people who reported issues together with @tom80H ! And it seems for some the server issues are way worse than for others. I, for example, can barely search any movie, and get more 404 errors when opening a link than not getting any errors when opening a link. So the site is practically unusable for me right now.
As mentioned in the reddit post, issues are present no matter what network or device I am using.
I’m seeing the same behaviors other described. All searches cease after typing 2 characters. Trying to work around it by adding something like “?Criteria.Title=tremors” to the URL just results in a 404 error.
And to add to this, before the search broke, subtitles were starting to redirect to a 404 error intermittently when trying to download the txt or xml. Not all subtitles, but about half of them, were behaving that way. Sometimes, refreshing a few hours later allowed them to download.
I think you guys got a corrupt database or something. Really weird this would happen if this is being hosted “as-is”, implying no changes were made.
I’ve been having the same issues the past several days. Searches stop after 2 characters. Also used the “?Criteria.Title=movie name” workaround with limited success. Sometimes I get a 404 error. Sometimes I get the page showing the search results. When I do get the search results, sometimes I get a 404 error when I click on one of the results and sometimes it actually takes me to the chapter list. However, when I have been able to get to a chapter list page, I have never been able to download a chapter file. Just today I started noticing that I’ve also occasionally gotten a CloudFlare 502 bad gateway error when clicking on some links. I have found that trying a different browser, a different computer, or just waiting a while between attempts sometimes makes a difference.
Now the pages look all old school plain HTML, search doesn’t work, and if you click on any of the titles that are listed right off the bat, it gives a 1020 “access denied” error from Cloudfare.
Same here. The past two days it seemed to be working normally again. But now I cannot access the website at all, getting ‘Error 1020 Access denied’.
@tom80H any idea what’s going on?
Nope… getting the same error message.
The issue seems to be fixed. Potentially. There were brief moments in the past it’d work, but it seems to be working consistently now.
Either it is still not working 100% so that searches are not completing or data has gone missing. I just tried searching for “Brady Bunch” which had several entries when it was working normally and now nothing comes up for it.
