I have been updating file names in my media folders and Plex is scanning (detecting credits and so forth). I have a large library and it has been going for several days. It is working as titles change. Is there a way to see how many files are left or the names to get an idea how much longer until it is finished?
There is not. Also, intro and credit detection work asynchronous from each other so the number left for these tasks would not be equal. Same goes with other detection tests.

Do you also have preview thumbnail (BIF) generation on? This could take days or weeks, just on it’s own.
