Checking for new/missing seasons (only)

Wondering what the easiest way would be to check some 480 plus TV shows to determine if there are any new seasons available for them. That is all I really want to do - so if I could do it without installing a whole new ecosystem / new programs connected into Plex etc. that would be ideal. I downloaded TV Rename, but I can’t figure out whether I can use it to just check an existing library that does NOT need anything renamed or moved. The last thing I want is anything changed inside the Plex library folders, I just want to scan them and look up in TVDB (or something) to see if I am missing anything?
