New episodes/seasons of my TV shows

Is there an easy way to find out which of the TV shows I have in Plex have new episodes or seasons released that I don’t have yet?

For example let’s say I have season 1 & 2 of show X. Recently, season 3 of show X came out, but I don’t have it on my Plex yet. Is there somewhere in Plex that I can see a list of these?

Since I have hundreds of TV shows on Plex, a feature like this would be super-useful, as it would allow me to see which of my favourite shows have new seasons released so I could add them to Plex.

I use Sonarr (with two r’s at the end) for this. Sonarr also does download, but I just use it to know which episodes are missing in my collection.

I use Media Center Master along side Plex

DuckieTV - Browser Action Version. Works well. They do nightly updates you can install in chrome based browsers in developer mode.

Also, TV Rename after DuckieTV downloads the files. TV Rename will move the show to the correct folder and it will show up in plex after plex does an automatic update scan. This is all automated. Nothing has to be done manually

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, but Sonarr that @JCHH suggested seems to meet my needs entirely, as it:

  • scans my existing library, so I don’t need to add shows manually,
  • shows me what episodes I’m missing in an intuitive way,
  • allows me to download missing episodes, in the quality I want, with a single click, and
  • integrates with deluge and my (private) torrent sites, so it even replaces FlexGet, which is what I used to use for downloading new episodes automatically.

All in all, it’s exactly the tool I needed and more. :slight_smile:
