Checksum mismatch errors - New media not adding

NAS: DS3617xs
DSM: 6.2.2-24922 Update 4
PMS: 1.18.8.2527-740d4c206

So I had an issue a few weeks ago which resulted in me replacing a hard drive and then none of my dockers working. Got Synology support involved and they “fixed” it and got all my dockers working.

During the process I learnt more about Synology Log Centre and I’ve been keeping an eye on it.

Today I realised that none of my new media was being added to Plex, it hasn’t been since Monday.

In Log Centre I can see quite a few entries such as this: Checksum mismatch on file [/volume1/Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Metadata/TV Shows/b/e5028bd1e4a6259db1f00b8d5e66a71bd54375e.bundle/Contents/com.plexapp.agents.thetvdb/seasons/53/posters/1b429170d4a0094c45387e9eafd06a06455bcee3].

I’m up for reinstalling Plex if it has corrupted but I’d dearly love to keep my played states. Unfortuantley I think my backups have currupted as well but I’m just trying to look through my Azure storage blob to work out if I can get them.

What options do I have?

I’ve attached the Plex logs to this post. Any help would be much appriciated.

Thanks for the log files.

I’ve found the problem.

Hi Chuck,

Thanks for the reply. I take it then that I should try to repair the corrupted DB using a backup if one exists and then I might be ok? I’ll give this a go in the morning and report back.

James

James,

That’s correct.

In the How-To, I show the sequence of using one of those all-important backup copies PMS makes during maintenance.

Hi Chuck,

Thanks again, just followed the steps and all is working fine again. I’ll keep an eye on the checksum mismatch errors. Do you think this will resolve them or will I need to do some additional work?

James
