Plex Server Library Scan will no longer recognize new files!

Server Version#: 1.18.5.2309 on Synology NAS
Player Version#: 1.6.2.994 on Windows 10

Since updating to 1.18.5.2309 Plex will not add new movies files to the library. I can go on playing existing movies or episodes of a series, so access to mp4 files seems to be ok.
But when I add e.g. a new 3rd file to a series directory where 2 files already exists, the library scanner starts scanning, retrieves the metadata from internet but the new episode is not available in the library.
The same with “normal” movie files. New files in a media file directory starts the scanning, but Plex does not “see” the new file and therefore will not add it to my movei library :frowning:

If a move an episode away from the directory, Plex will delete it correctly from it’s library list! But moving back will not add it again.

Has someone any idea? Unfortunately Synology doesn’t allow to install an older version of Plex media server over a newer one.

I will need the DEBUG (not VERBOSE) log files please to see this happening?
Did any part of this installation originate on a Windows system?

Thanks for your help, but I found a hint in one of the log files! During scanning of the new added file, there was a message, that the database was corrupt! Don’t know why, but I restored one of the latest backups and rescan the library and now the new files has been recognized and Metadata downloaded too.

Should you need it for future reference, here is the How-To from the FAQ on recovering using FileStation.

Thanks! This is the way I did it.
I was only confused, because I received no error messages on the Plex Client and could browse through existing movies, searching, playing… Only the log files shows, that the database was corrupt. But for the future, I know what I have to do
So I’m happy, that this has nothing to do with the latest release…
