For some home videos or videos that are impossible, hard to match, or have poor metadata, it would be great if the “poster picker” screen would allow you to scrub through the video and choose a frame to use for the poster image. This would allow you to choose, for example, a movie title screen or a memorable frame from a home video that makes sense. The existing automatic functionality is more of a “miss” than a “hit” right now.
Or at the very least a way to regenerate automatic posters. You’re stuck with the one you get. I’m also experiencing a weird bug where I get the same 3 posters/screen grabs from different shows.
I really want this Feature, too. Just going to a frame of the film, pausing and choosing the option to Screenshot or set as the Background Image for the film can be a huge time saver. Currently, I’m just not confident at all with taking Screenshots and then editing them, especially on a Keyboard that doesn’t have a Print Screen key.
