Chromecast (3rd gen) crashes after 2 minutes of movie playback

Player Version: 8.11.0.22186 (a1b8a7fb) (Android 8.0)

Movie file: video x264 at 720p, audio AC3 5.1 at 640 kbps (more details attached).

Every time I play this particular movie on my TV through my Chromecast (3rd gen) the Chromecast crashes after between 2 mins 20 secs and 2 min 50 seconds. This happens at any point, playing it from from the start or later. After the crash I then restart the Plex app on my phone it remembers where it left off and I can resume. After playing again some 2 mins and 20 seconds the Chromecast then crashes again.

I’ve had no problems playing many other similar video files for many hours over the last months. This movie file plays fine in the Plex Web Player on the PC that also hosts the Plex Media Server.

The problem seems to be similar to this problem: forums.plex.tv/t/chromecast-crashing-2-minutes-into-playback/527076 . Inspired by that topic, when I play the movie file with the commentary audio instead, AAC 2.0 @ 127 kbps , I can play well over 5 minutes without a crash.

Plex logs are attached.

Does it play fine without casting on your phone?(or mobile device)

Just tested: yes, no problems playing it on the phone.
