The Chromecast has been unable to play videos with AC3 audio. It causes the hang issue after 20 minutes of playing.
The xbox one is totally useless. constant stuttering no matter transcoding or direct play. When you select the file over the network in the movies app it plays fine. So it is not a network or file issue, it is a Plex issue.
As these are my two main players for Plex it is really annoying to have it not work. When is the plan to fix these issues?

I’m on the latest Xbox One app version and we use it a lot for movies/shows without an issue. Are you on wifi with the Xbox One? Between my 2 Xbox Ones (one wired and one wireless), the wireless one has more strange issues with connectivity. Wired one is flawless.

Zero problems with Chromecast playing AC3 audio? Just last night I was having issues with 1.7 to Chromecast. I haven’t upgraded my WD PR4100 NAS yet to know if it will make a difference with the Xbox.
i have issues on my XBOX app from time to time as well. It needs an update to bring it in line with the other platforms so badly.
I just updated to 1.7 last night, and seemingly it is able to play the video file with no issues now. However the aspect ratio is terrible. It took what should be a 1.85:1 and added black bars to the top and bottom to make it 3:1. It does this for all my movies.
