After a couple of updates ago I’ve noticed a new annoying bug when combining Plex on iOS connected to Chromecast.
I connect my iPhone like normal, watch a movie, want a break from the movie and want to pause it on my iPhone, but it has disconnected so no pause button or anything at all that shows any movie are playing… I then have to reconnect to pause, annoying af.
BuUt to make it worse, is when I’m finished taking a break. I just want to press play on my iPhone like I’ve done the last…
Opening Plex app on iPhone. Casting to TV and play a movie or TV show.
The app seems to be running in the background but if for some reason I need to pause streaming or change episode I find that the app is not currently playing/Running so I have to relaunch.
When I relaunch it instantly kills what’s playing on my tv/chrome cast.

Problem Description:
Chromecast playback is observed to suddenly terminate in situations where the iOS app is put to “sleep” by the operating system and needs to reinitialize once the user switches back to the plex app.

Can someone verify if this affects all iOS app users or just some? I assume it would cause more noise if it affected everyone, but maybe most people (and Plex devs) use Androids?
