Chromecast has to restart streaming every time you close IPAD

Still an issue.

That’s when I can get it to connect to the chromecast at all.

Not a single one of my other apps has problems connecting to the chromecast.

After the latest update. Chromecast seems to be working how it did before without restarting?

I take it back… still doing it. Once again thanks for nothing Plex!!

And another update… Still no fix for Chromecast streaming and having to restart.
Pretty disappointing that developers could care less about known issues

I can’t believe nobody else is making a big deal about this issue. It is such a pain to keep restarting every time.

This issue happens with me as well while casting to TV from my iphone 12(ios 15.4.1). Came to this forum to check if someone has raised this issue.
This issue is the difference between me being a free user and not a plex pass user.

I am using casting movie from plex via ios app. Movie is running fine. I’m using other apps or kill the plex app on my phone.
Reopen the plex app
cast stopped.
Have to cast again.

Now what happens on Netflix is when I reopen the app, it automatically syncs the cast without stopping(even when I kill or close the app).

The sad thing is that I have been asking for a fix for this issue since January, and nothing. Apparently the developers don’t care.

Sad to see the bug still exists.

Started noticing it happens to me as well, hope it gets fixed soon because having to restart the stream every time i want to rewind a bit is awful.

Don’t expect that there will be a fix.
Over 5 months I’ve been trying to get it fixed in an update, and NOTHING!!.

Can someone verify if this affects all iOS app users or just some? I assume it would cause more noise if it affected everyone, but maybe most people (and Plex devs) use Androids?

My logs were given as a bug in the update back in January… still nothing. Don’t think the developers are to concerned about Chromecast users

Again an update and no fix!! This is just plain ridiculous
