New Plex user here with the exact same problem. Disappointing to see how long this has persisted. It’s extremely disruptive and easily reproducible.
Started this thread in 2022, and still no fix. Extremely disappointing that the developers can’t be bothered to do anything about it.
Another update, and nothing for Chromecast. Disappointing.
Agreed - very disappointing that this bug/feature (which I too have reported) has not been addressed. It can’t be hard to fix … Plexamp is fine.
I wonder if you’ve hit the latest problem with Plex on iOS (18.1.1) … Plex no longer connects to Chromecast speakers at all ! I’ve reported it in this Forum … no reply from the dev team.
Another year goes by, and the developers do nothing to address Chromecast biggest problem.
Still nothing. Come on developers do your job.
