Chromecast with Google TV : Bluetooth headphones not working when audio track have more than 2 channels

Server Version#: 1.25.6.5577
Player Version#:8.30.2.31202 (c9b75f7a)
When using headphones connected via Bluetooth to my Chromecast with Google TV, I’m unable to watch any content with more than 2 audio channels. The failure varies depending on whether HDMI passthrough is enabled.

If passthrough is enabled, the video plays but there’s simply no audio output, and no errors in the logs.

If passthrough is disabled, attempting to play content results in a generic error message in the UI, a fatal error in the logs, and the content does not play.

What is your audio encoded with? For me playback fails for EAC3, but AAC, TrueHD, and others work fine over bluetooth. (even with surround channels)

Sadly, I don’t have a fix for you.
