Chromecast with google tv - switching channels, fails

Recently procured CCwGTV to look at replacing MiBox S’s.

Using live tv drvr I can watch a channel but if I switch to another channel the chromecast will come up with an error “Recording failed, Please check your tuner or antenna”

Hitting ok, which effectively puts me in the position of nothing playing, I can select the same channel and it works.

Other devices, 2 x MiBox 4 S’s - have no issue, a Fire TV Stick 4k and a Roku 4k - none of which have an issue with my environment.

I’ve even tried the latest beta as of writing this.

Client version: 8.16.0.24298 beta (also had same issue with latest non-beta)
Server version: 1.22.2.4282
Live TV DVR: Xteve / TVHeadend

I tried to keep the logs clean, the example is when switching from I think it was Coro on the original channel and Hoarders when it failed.

I also notice that this device always seems to need to transcode where everything else is happy with directplay.

In addition, I have the same issue on Windows (Plex Media Server)

Looks like I have sorted it. I ending up changing the device’s audio settings from auto to those that are supported manually. Since then plex on live tv dvr has had no issues (touch wood) since I have done that.

Can you elaborate on that?

should have replied earlier,… changing audio settings didn’t resolve in the long run. This still seems to be a battle, even with several updates and trying beta versions both server and client side.

I don’t have this issue on my older xiaomi boxes, just ccwgtv. No issue on Emby either but prefer plex overall.
