This problem only happens when I’m trying to cast Live TV to a chromecast or Nest Hub/Hub Max. No video/audio ever shows up it immediately shows the “Sorry!” error message. I’m able to cast movies and tv from my library just fine, even things that were recorded from Live TV.
I originally thought this was because of the audio codec, but for both live and recorded tv, it’s ac3. The only difference is the video codec, which I transcode to h264 after recording is completed. Live TV of course would be mpeg2.
This used to work at some point in the distant past, but I don’t know when exactly that was.
Exactly the same issue here. It was working fine until a few days ago, every video I try to play from my S21 to Chromecast 3 plugged on my TV end up with “Sorry, something went wrong” message. Don’t know if an update (on which device ?) caused that problem.
Kind of annoying…
Live tv stopped working for me after the latest update. Reverting to an older server version had previously fixed the issue, but the old version was causing other issues, so I finally updated to the current version. Everything still works except for live tv on chromecast.
I rolled back to version 1.24, and Chromecast worked again with live tv. However, two days later, Plex suddenly didn’t recognize my HD Homerun flex 4k and I’m unable to add it again.
