Hello everybody, same issue, trailer do not work anymore, with the following message “Conversion failed. The transcoder has stopped due to an error.” I’m on Nvidia shield PRO with latest Plex server version.
All my Plex clients can’t play trailers : Android Box, Nvidia Shied Pro TV, Plex for windows, https://app.plex.tv… 
Please check and make an update asap

I know this topic has been done to death, but I’m struggling top understand where I might have gone wrong. I’ve followed the advice in previous threads to check system/bios time and make sure its correct, and I’ve updated and refreshed metadata for my library. Nothing I do seems to get the trailers to work, when they used to. I’m picking I’ve changed a setting somewhere and borked it.
Entries in the logs state the below when trying to play a trailer or an ‘extra’

I’m sure its something simple but for the life of me I cant find the setting or reason for this
Hey Everyone,
For months ive noticed that my movie trailers before the movies and the movies themselves can play due to this error. I have no idea how to fix it. I would love for someone to help me fix this issue as i love watching movie trailers before the movie starts etc.
I have attached my logging and a similer picture of what comes on.
This message only pops up when i switch on the trailer option. Once off it doesnt appear. Just woild like the option to watch the trailers again.

We think we my have figured out what is going on. I do not have an ETA on a fix but should be “soon”

Thanks for the response. I know its a small issue, and you likely have other items at a higher priority, but its frustrating. I’m happy with ‘soon’
Fix is in Beta just released. ( I don’t have a date when it will go public)

For the moment, the PMS 1.40.2.8383 is not available for NVIDIA SHIELD PRO TV, only 1.40.2.8312 
in the beta channel from playstore. Unfortunatly, trailers issue still present.
I hope that the release will pop up soon to Android.

Should be any server with PMS 1.40.2.8383 — no matter what platform.
@My_Daruma unfortunately due to some approval issues at Google not sure when we will get to be able to put the beta on there.
Ditto on issue. Would love to try the beta release…
I recentyl just updated the new plex update and my trailer before movies is now working. woohoo.
