Working around metadata fetching issues is often troublesome because Plex Media Server has to be stopped in order to actually clear the caches. Clearing the cache without stopping PMS just rewrites the existing cached data, it seems. Sometimes stopping PMS isn’t practical, e.g. because I or someone else in the house is watching an item.
It would be amazing if clearing metadata could be made to work while PMS is running. Even better if there was a button/menu in Plex Web that could clear it automatically.
