So as some of us follow the Apple news a ton, there is 99% (+/-1%) chance that Apple will release a new Apple TV or at least announce it on September 9th. It will most likely have SIRI and an APP STORE.

If Apple does release an Apple TV with these capabilities, namely the App Store, what are the chances of Plex and Apple having a relationship to get Plex on the Apple TV officially?

I know that users have made a solution to get our content onto our Apple TV 2 and 3, I even use it myself. but I would drop $400 easy to replace my ATV2s with native capability to use Plex.

If it has the AppStore built-in, and continues to use a version of iOS, you’d imagine the current iOS client could be used to underpin a AppleTV client without too many changes.

I guess you don’t follow apple news that much. For the past 2 years media outlets have been announcing the announcement of a new appletv at every apple event… It will come when it comes, and plex will support it, as always.
