Hi, like it says in the title, there’s absolutely no way to disable the closed captions playing. They are always on. I’ve tried everything from the plex server settings, to the tv settings, the closed captions are always playing, no matter what.
Your video streams may already have subtitles burned in.
You’ll have to remove the subtitle track manually using ffmpeg
ffmpeg -i input.file -codec copy -bsf:v "filter_units=remove_types=6" output.file
Theres only subs when playing it on the samsung smart tv, and not on the PC. So I dont think the burn in is the issue.
