Hey guys.
Before I start, I would like to apologize, if this has already been asked. I have searched for hours and checked all aspects of the server and players, but I haven’t found a solution yet.
The app version specified is the latest available Plex for Samsung.
The server is the latest available server software for my QNAP NAS.
Recently, the Plex player of my TV, has started showing closed caption subtitles of whatever I’m playing, even while subtitles are disabled in the player. The odd thing is, that when I enable subtitles in the player, there will be double subtitles.
I have tested the same videos via Plex for my OnePlus phone, and also the Plex player for AndroidTV for my Xiaomi 4k TV Stick. Both of these doesn’t display subtitles, unless I enable them. This leads me to consider, if it’s the Samsung TV itself causing the problem. If it was the server, I guess that the issue would appear on all players.
I have also tried removing and re-installing the app for the smart TV, but the issue persists.
While it may be an issue with the TV, I was hoping that some of you here, may have an idea.
I’m pretty new to Plex.
