[Cloud Sync] ACD Support removed, last working build is 1.1.3.2700

You’ve provided individual logs at various times. I would like to see a direct apples-to-apples comparison.

I currently have it updated to the latest build (from Mar 1) and I’ve had a video “Waiting to be Uploaded” for about 30min now.

Will let it sit for a while and see what happens.
I do see a few errors in the log files already and a couple lines saying “CloudSync: Finished uploading with status 200”, but it is too early to tell.

Tried it within the latest build, same issue, same error message in the log.

I tried to keep all of the log files (though would have been after it was done converting), don’t believe I missed any, but here’s 10 of them.
Had to make sure I kept backing them up for any logs beyond the standard 5 that Plex keeps.

Plex Media Server.3.log is the one that contains the following error:

Specifically error messages such as the one mentioned in this line:

Mar 10, 2017 18:18:50.927 [1368] DEBUG - CloudSync: Upload failure response body: {“message”:“Multipart request is incomplete: Content required.”}

This error does not occur in those old builds that I talked about previously.
I was just on the old build (1.1.4) yesterday and had it uploading fine.

Again, wasn’t until I updated to the latest that this issue occurred.

Want me to try anything else out before I downgrade again?

If there’s nothing left to try then I will downgrade later today so I can actually upload again.

I haven’t looked at these new logs yet, but if it shows the start of PMS, the start of the conversion, and the point where it finished converting and won’t upload, then it should have the info I’m looking for. Please repeat using the same file with the older version.

Thanks @xSean for upgrading and downgrading to supply logs.
I haven’t budged from 1.1.3 since I first downgraded from 1.2.x after experiencing these issues many moons ago.

Any update from Plex team?

I believe I see why now that Amazon doesn’t work within the latest builds… it isn’t even an option on the Cloud Sync Page anymore. Not just Plex Cloud, but actual “Cloud Sync”.

I haven’t been able to really mess with anything for a bit, but I went to just limit any uploads and converting to 0 temporarily as I was adding in some content… didn’t realize that basically wipes out your Cloud Sync library.

I then just cleared everything out for Cloud Sync, even unlinked my Amazon Drive from it and noticed the wording in all caps “YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RELINK THIS PROVIDER”, so since at that point I just simply didn’t care as I figured I could either stay on an extremely old build or I could just keep the software up-to-date and my Cloud Sync Libraries were already wiped out, I unlinked it.
Lo and behold, Amazon is not listed as an option as a provider for Cloud Sync anymore.

It looks like it isn’t so much as a “bug”, but just that Amazon support for Plex was completely discontinued. Why this is something I had to find out myself I’ll never know.

Now going to have to rely on Plex Cloud.

Build 1.1.4 and older:

  • Can upload normally
  • Only issue is where large files will timeout
  • This precedes the issue with ACD by several months

Builds newer than 1.1.4 (including latest release):

  • Files will not upload
  • Files will only begin uploading and then immediately stop
  • As the issue is unique to these builds, it is only these builds that have the following line in the log:
    {“message”:“Multipart request is incomplete: Content required.”}

How can I get a hold of the install file for 1.1.4 so I can downgrade to it?

You can’t.

Nothing below 1.5.1 is support.

Looks like I still have that installer backed up.

MEGA

Yeah and no codecs work below 1.5.1 which makes it useless…

@danjames92 not sure what you mean. It works fine for me. I continue to use 1.1.3.2700 as I don’t want to lose the Cloud Sync Amazon Cloud Drive support.

It’s a standard installer, it contains everything that was needed to install and use it back when it was new. It doesn’t rely on anything new. The only thing it doesn’t have now is support by the Plex developers, which is both obvious and understandable. Please avoid spreading false information, thank you.
