i have some problem with Cloud sync.
I used Plex sync for a long time, syncing to Mobile devices singe episodes, this is sometimes failing, it’ll show in Mobile Library, if i want to open it, mobile cannot find contend. whatever…
I have used Cloud sync with Dropbox / Googledrive, if i set a queue of 10 episodes, he will trancode them all, bot he’ll not upload all the episodes.
Even if i delete the Synced contend by webconsole. its showing in Cloud Sync library.
What i have done:
Deleting old Servers unter Settings -> Devices -> Servers.
Deleting old Cloud entrys in Plex.tv -> MyAccount -> Settings -> Cloud Sync.
However, old shows are displayed in cloud database,
there are Deleted, if i click on it, there is an error, file is not accessable.
Since i’ve seen Amazon Cloud Storage, i want to check out Cloud Sync again.
So… i set a queue to upload… waiting over night, and its not completed. E1 to E3, are uploaded, E4 to E7 not uploaded, et cetera.
even if i restart the Plex Server, he wont start to upload the episodes again.
Its so frustrating, if i upload 70 Episodes, and he wont upload 20 of them, i dont want to upload all the episodes manually or s.o.
Hope for your suggestions! Or maybe a sync managing tool where i can restart sync of episodes?
All I can say is good luck. Honestly I have given up on Cloud Sync ever working well. I use it to upload some single files but I find some things will never upload and if you do a whole season of a show the odds are that there will be at least a couple that never finish.
Cloud Sync is probably the worst working (and usually not working) feature in Plex. What chaps me is that after you pay for Plex Pass to gain these features, you get absolutely NO support. Great idea, crappy implementation.
Cloud Sync will pause itself if the server has any load. This includes streaming your content.
For best results with cloud sync make sure you sync no more than ~10 items at a time, and ensure no one is streaming content from the server you are utilizing to upload/convert.
Also keep in mind ISP upload speeds/throttling/etc come into play as well. So if you only have a 1mbps uplink, chances are your cloud syncs will not work very well.
However, I do echo the comments here. Cloud Sync is definitely not something to expect great results from.
I have no idea why this is not working. new user here, upgraded to Plex Pass for this feature. Added ONE video as a test about 5 hours ago…still says “Waiting to upload”. Have it connected to Amazon Cloud Drive in the settings with unlimited storage. Manually uploaded the same file to test and it was done in under 10 minutes. What’s the point of paying for a feature if you cannot get it to work and no support? I’m testing this application since I’ve held off for so long and impressed with it overall but cloud sync appears to be crap…
Cloud Sync stopped syncing for me for the second time. The last time this happened I had to delete all my cloud sync media, delete the Plex server from my system and pretty much start all over. I really, really don’t want to do that again. I’ve spent the past month trying to get all my media files synced. This is such an awesome feature, but it sure also sucks hard. Wish the developers would fix all the bugs and make it work properly.
I’m not quite sure what that error means, but reviewing your log I am seeing lots of messages about files missing. Can you provide me the XML for an item you are trying to sync?
For anyone else having issues using CloudSync where the files are not getting uploaded, please let me know if you are using UPnP or if you’ve set up a manual port forward. I’ve seen a few reports lately that when using UPnP, uploading doesn’t work, but switching to a manual port forward gets things going.
My cloud sync is uploading fine - it just doesn’t update the database. I have a lot of files in my Amazon Cloud Drive, but those are not reflected in Plex for me. Here is an error I am seeing in the logs:
