cloud sync not works with Plex Connect ? Or I need special setting?

Hi,

I am very happy to using Plex Connect on my Apple tv 3 now. It has some small issues such as "trailer unavaliable...." but It wont bother me that much after "back" then "enter" button again.

Also I log in my Plex account, I found my cloud sync folder located under the Plex Connect.

I never able to play them on the apple tv directly.......

I just want to know this function still under testing or I need to change some advanced setting on my Plex Connect ?

Are you running your PMS on a NAS?

Are you running your PMS on a NAS?

i am running it on my mac mini...

It should work as support was added just after it came out.

I do not know. Maybe I should study to get log first:) but only the cloud sync won't works. All the other function works as expected.

Hmm I wonder if the commit changing to Plex.tv broke cloud synch, yeah logs etc would be helpful.

Same here, any idea?

After moving my PMS and PlexConnect from my MacbookPro to an Ubuntu server, I too can no longer play cloud items from the ATV3.

I can still play them from other Plex devices.    Any ideas on what is happening here?

Looks like your xml-templates don't fit to your py-files...

And yes, there is some strange code in PlexAPI.py right before your erroneous line (425). Not nice, really error-prone, needs some fix, I guess.

Same for me, Cloud Sync does not work with Plexconnect.

Is there a way to hide Cloud Sync from the Library section since it does not work? Anyways whatever's on there is already showing on the actual Library so I don't think it's necessary to show up twice.

I just set up cloud sync and noticed it’s not working on my Apple TV 3. Using plexconnect v0.5 and openplex v0.5 on a MacBook pro. Is there additional set up required?

Now, almost a year later, I would like to ask again whether there is a way, cloud sync with plex connect to work together?

Is the question too difficult?

No idea - I honestly never used CloudSync at all.
I remember in early days, there was a request to support encrypted/https requests to enable it. This was done, I haven’t heard about it since…

Plexconnect shows Cloudsync, but says it would be away. Sometimes the files were shown, but not playable.
Great pity.
